TOKYO (FWN) - Tax revenue in the year to March 2003 general-account
budget is expected to fall to slightly above 46.5 trln yen, down 4 trln yen
from
the initial budget for this fiscal year and marking the lowest level in 15
years, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported, without citing sources.
Tax revenue in the year to March 1988 stood at 46.8 trln yen.
The Finance Ministry had initially estimated year to March 2003 tax revenue
at 50.4 trln yen.
